Academic Profile

After studying Natural Sciences at undergrad, I worked as a Research Assistant - first in Cambridge, working on tropical forest conservation, then in Panama, working on butterfly evolution.

Current Research

My project focuses on hybridisation (cross-breeding) between different species of island birds, specifically Pacific white-eyes. I'm interested in the effect of hybridisation on evolution, the interplay between hybridisation and extinction, and the behavioural mechanisms that facilitate mating between different species. My research uses a combination of bioinformatics and ecological approaches.
