Research Interests

My group works on a wide range of questions united by an interest in understanding pattern and process in the interaction between organisms and their environment. Our work is grounded in an organismal-level approach, but we use a range of tools from genomics to remote-sensing, field experiments to mathematical modelling, machine-learning to large-scale comparative approaches. These approaches are used on long-term study populations of birds, insects and plants in Wytham Woods, just outside Oxford. I'm always happy to discuss potential projects that are compatible with these general approaches.
