Kew is a global resource in plant and fungal knowledge, and an important repository of biological collections. The organisation carries out field- and laboratory-based scientific research to describe, understand and conserve biodiversity and inform policy development at all levels. Our collections-based science is carried out in six research departments: Comparative Plant and Fungal Biology, Conservation Science, Natural Capital and Plant Health, Collections and Identification and Naming.
Kew offers a wide range of engagement opportunities including co-supervision, training courses and public engagement, in addition to work placements, fieldwork support and expert advice. Kew’s world-class facilities, field sites, and plant and fungal data are also available to its partners.
